Birthdays are an excellent excuse to have a party and your very first birthday definitely deserves an extra celebration celebration. A brilliant way to mark the occasion is with a cake smash and tub splash photo shoot – you have a party and the memories all built into one fun portrait session.

This little boy wasn’t so very keen on the cake smash portion of the shoot, despite the extremely natty outfit that his mum had brought along for him to wear but luckily he enjoyed interacting with the cake a lot more once I had given him one of my mini wooden spoons – the main problem was that he just didn’t like the feel of it on his hands which definitely isn’t unusual.  He was much more of a water baby that’s for sure – all full of fun and smiles once we got him in my miniature white clawfoot bathtub filled with warm bubbly water.  His mum and dad chose the duck themed accessories (there’s quite a few accessory sets to choose from) and they suited his cheeky grin perfectly!

A cake smash and tub splash photo shoot is the perfect way to celebrate and commemorate that extra special first birthday.   We start with a clean shoot and mum, dad and siblings are welcome to get involved here as well for family pictures if you’d like to.  Then it’s time to get out the cake for some smashing fun!  After that, it’s time to fill your choice of tub with warm and bubbly water for more great pictures and a good old icing removal clean up.  Each session includes your three favourite digital images (chosen from your online gallery, there’s no sales session) and costs £95.
