Janna and Jen held their wedding at Highley Manor in West Sussex and I was lucky enough to be selected as their wedding photography through a family connection – I had been the photographer for the sister of one of the brides a few years ago.  It was lovely to meet the couple and of course to catch up with old friends on the day.

The weather threatened and even sprinkled a couple of times on the day but did nothing to dampen the festive spirits of the couple or any of their guests and everyone was able to enjoy Highley Manor both the house and the lovely grounds.  The wedding reception room was really a feast for the eyes with many, many, many crafting hours having gone into making it look absolutely stunning with a vintage / rustic theme.  There was a cake competition which the guests were invited to enter (never did find out who won but they all looked excellent) and there was plenty of gin with personalised wedding gin favours so really all the ingredients were already in place for a perfect day.  Add to that, a happy couple and lots of laughter and I honestly can’t think of a way that it could have been improved upon!
