There isn’t really any such thing as an average wedding but sometimes, one will come along that is extra different and Rikki and Adam’s wedding was one like that. It was being held on Halloween and it was taking full advantage of the fact with the horror-loving bride and groom (that’s horror movies, not genuine human horror) styling a Halloween themed wedding. The bridesmaids wore stunning dresses with black petticoats and rose and skull motifs and the bride, while wearing a beautiful traditional ivory lace wedding dress, kept herself in theme with a spiderweb bouquet and probably the most amazing shoes I have seen in a long time.
The ceremony was held at the Beaconsfield Old Town Registration office and their children were there to celebrate with all the other family and friends that had gathered and their daughter had us in stitches with her vocal contributions to the ceremony! Rikki and Adam, assisted by lots of extra helpers, had worked so hard in decorating their reception venue and it was spookily gorgeous! Some of the pumpkin carvings were amazing – they had a Chucky, a Chihuahua and a Freddy Kruger to name but a few – OK Chihuahuas aren’t traditionally associated with Halloween I grant you, but they do have a pet one named Chucky which is where the link lies… The tables were decked out in black with red and white accents and it all just looked scarily gorgeous.
Anyway, much Halloween fabulousness was there but there was never a chance of losing sight of the most important thing – all the love in the room! All treat and no trick 🙂
