This is little Alfie, a very gorgeous little fellow in to visit for his newborn photographs. He was a great little sleeper and gave me plenty of time while he snoozed to gently move his through lots of different backdrops and poses.
We started off with my birth announcement set, which allows you to create a single image featuring not only your little boy or girl new arrival but also their date and time of birth, their name and their birth weight.
We then worked through some different ideas and poses, including my brand new hand felted heart which is just adorable in his little hands. I’m kind of relieved that it does as, let me tell you, that felting needles really hurt when you miss the object and get them in your finger – as I learned to my cost. His mum had brought along some lovely items to include and she’s a real giraffe fan so I’m glad to see that he enjoyed his nap on his new pals feet.
We even managed to sneak in a few family portrait images with his big brothers and sister as well, who popped in briefly for part of the session. I’d definitely recommend if you have older siblings to include that they don’t stay for the whole session as it’s pretty boring from them and less than relaxing for you to have them there throughout. Joining us for a few minutes of the session is a great compromise, they’re still included and can enjoy getting their picture taken and then move off to do something less boring instead.
