Gemma & Tom chose a fab wedding venue for their big day in the Selden Barn in Patching. We started the day together with the bride, her mum and her bridesmaids getting ready in a relaxed and happy atmosphere. There was a fair amount of ‘aisle walking practice’ which did have us all in a giggle (shame I didn’t think to video it!)
Then after all that fun and frivolity, it was time to get to the main event – the wedding ceremony! The ceremony room was lovely decked out in candles and fairy lights, and the ceremony went without a hitch – although for such a happy couple, there were a couple of fun touches, including the best man presenting two Haribo rings in the ring box when summoned upon to do his duty.
The weather was being a bit damp and drizzly until we came out of the ceremony but then it dried up so that we could enjoy a good old confetti throw outdoors and some group photography next to the picturesque barn. We finished off with some bride and groom pictures both indoors and outdoors – the ground was a bit soggy under foot but the bride had opted for custom Converse footwear under her wedding dress (with I Do stitched into the heels) and so we were able to make full use of the grounds without having to worry about that sinking heels feeling.
A gorgeous day (with lots of love in the room to keep us warm even when the weather didn’t play ball) for a fabulous fun couple.
